The year: 2004. The event: the X Games. The contest: Freestyle Moto X Best Trick. The winner: Chuck Carothers. The trick he won with: the first successful 360 body varial, which was promptly renamed “The Carolla.”
And that was only the beginning of Chuck’s rapid rise to fame, as he continues to impress with his freestyle abilities. Unfortunately, when he attempted the Carolla at Summer X 2005, the result wasn’t as good as his first. In fact, he was lucky to walk away from the crash.
When he’s not on tour, you can find him at his Texas home, “Camp Chuck,” playing on minibikes or riding his dirt bike. Chuck lives life along the lines of his favorite quote: "You do not stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing."
