Nevada’s Brian Foster is gradually rising to the head of the class in freestyle motocross and is proving to be a consistent finisher and a stylish showman.
He got his start through a close friend, former IFMA champion Dustin Miller. “Dustin just got a new ramp and wanted me to come out and ride with him,” Brian remembers. “I ended up going out and riding with him and liked it a lot.”
Since then, Brian’s freestyle career has really taken off. In IFMA competition he was awarded the Most Improved Rider award in 2004 after securing his first IFMA victory in Greenville, South Carolina. He used that confidence to boost him to fourth overall in 2005 for the second time in his career, although he was unable to win an event.
But Brian, who will be riding Yamahas this year, has some big plans for 2006. “I want to qualify and do well at X and Gravity Games,” says the 24-year-old, who finished fourth in the 2005 Gravity Games. “I just want to win everything that I go to.”
