Jones, Mike

One of the most influential riders in the growth and advancement of modern freestyle motocross is “Mad” Mike Jones, who resides in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

As for his career accomplishments, it’s hard to know where to begin. Mike got his start in motocross racing and had a very successful career, which included a 1989 World Supercross Championship. He has been sponsored by several teams throughout his career and also has several arenacross wins on his resume. And coincidentally, inside the arenas is where Mike got his start in freestyle, as he would participate in the halftime freestyle shows. As he neared the end of his racing career, being a showman seemed to better suit his style.

Mike also has several X Games medals, including the gold in the 2001 Winter X Games. He is in several freestyle videos and enjoys spending time at home with his wife and daughter.
