Ramp-It-Up FMX Beaumont, TX Ford Arena
Ramp-It-Up FMX Ford Arena, Beaumont, TX Friday, 7/29/05
Night one of competition at the Ford Arena was off the hook! In the Qualifiers, Beaumont saw an extremely close competition. In the end the top 4 advancing were Eric Farr, Jeff Winstead, Steve Wagner, and Slade Waltman.
Keeping the crowd on edge, was first timer on the Ramp-It-Up tour, international Extreme MotoTrial sensation, David Chaves (Spain) would dazzle the crowd with his methodical breakdown of the MotoTrials course. Simply amazing and I’m sure the Texas fans would agree!
Once again, local Texas Streetbike freestylers were in the house and they tore it up! It was apparent that Beaumont couldn’t get enough of the crotch-rocket acrobats. Boom, badda-bing baby! Cannonlady, Jennifer Schneider was letting it all hang out with a 120 foot cannon blast. This gorgeous lady is crazy cat!
In the Team Competition Clint Esposito and Michael Gravette took an easy win with there creative run and the crowd enjoyed every minute of it. The boys were on fire… well, not literally, I don’t think the fire marshal allows that sort of thing!
In the FMX Finals, it was new guy Eric Farr (Grand Junction, CO) taking his first Ramp it up win! Farr took advantage of few mistakes by the competition, and threw down his best run ever! Way to go kiddo! Looks like the regulars need to start looking over their shoulders!
I will let ya know how Saturday shapes up.
Peace,
Sharpie

Ramp-It-Up FMX
Ford Arena, Beaumont, TX
Saturday, 7/30/05
Night two of the Ramp-It-Up Texas showdown was fierce. For sure everyone was on their "A" game. The four big dogs that would make the finals would be Eric Farr, Greg Hartman, Jeff Winstead, and Slade Waltman. But first the crowd would be amazed as Spanish MotoTrail expert, David Chavez, would give the best performance of his stint in the States. This muchacho is awesome!
In the FMX Finals, the Lonestar Sate would get a taste of the top four battling like I have never seen before. Eric Farr was first up… he was for sure wanting to repeat. Eric put together a sweet run, but did not get the extension on his cliffhanger that he was looking for. Still he would take the hot seat, with a score of 92.5. Next out was Slade Waltman… he put together a magnanimous run, but would be unable to dethrone last night’s winner.
Did somebody say Double-Wide? Next out of the gate "Trailer Trash" Jeff Winstead was intent on taking the seat. He destroyed it! And the newbee, Farr would take a walk. Jeff was looking to move up in the points and bump Steve Wagner out of that number one spot.
Last, but not least, it was Greg Hartman. He came out and rode like a rockstar! His score of 94.0 would top the others for the night and Trailer reluctantly gave up the winning Hot Seat position, while PA’s Hartman thanked his new adopted home state of Texas!
In the end it was another amazing night in Ford Arena and everyone loved! Special thanks to everyone here at Ford Park and the great people of Texas! Here we come Hidalgo, TX… see you next weekend!
Peace,
Sharpie
